2. Information about our services
This website provides general information about our business IT support, systems and related services. Its content is not a substitute for advice based on your own systems, security requirements and business circumstances.
Descriptions of products, technologies or possible benefits are general information. They do not promise a particular outcome, service level, response time, licence entitlement or manufacturer relationship beyond what is expressly agreed for your project.
3. Enquiries and quotations
Submitting an enquiry, sending an email or receiving an automated acknowledgement does not by itself create a contract for IT services or hardware. Requirements, availability, scope and any quotation must be discussed and agreed separately.
Managed support, consultancy, installations, hardware sales and other services are subject to the applicable quotation and separately agreed terms. These website-use terms do not replace those documents or introduce payment, cancellation, warranty or support conditions.
4. Accuracy and availability
We take reasonable care with website information, but products, specifications and services may change. Please confirm information that is important to a purchasing or technical decision directly with us.
We may update, suspend or withdraw website content. We cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability or that the website will always be free from errors or harmful code. You should use appropriate security measures on your own devices.
5. Intellectual property
Website content is owned by Harry Shaw Business Computers Ltd or used with the rights holder's permission or under the applicable licence. Third-party names, trade marks, logos and product marks belong to their respective owners. Their display does not by itself establish a formal current partnership or accreditation.
You may view and print reasonable extracts for your own reference or internal business consideration. Do not reproduce, sell or republish substantial website content without permission or another lawful basis. Keep relevant ownership and attribution notices. Image attributions are set out on our Image Credits page.
6. Acceptable use
Use the website lawfully. Do not attempt unauthorised access, interfere with its operation, introduce malicious code, misuse the enquiry form, impersonate another person or infringe another person's rights. Information you send should be relevant to your enquiry and information you are entitled to provide.
7. External links and remote support
Links to other websites and third-party software are provided for convenience. Those services are controlled by their providers and have their own terms and privacy information. A link does not mean we control or approve all of the destination's content.
The remote support download leads to a third-party service. Only run remote support software when instructed by the Harry Shaw support team. Any support session is governed by the relevant separately agreed support arrangements.
8. Responsibility and liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for loss caused by reliance on general website information without obtaining advice appropriate to your circumstances, or for the content or operation of third-party websites outside our control. Responsibility for services or products we supply is addressed in the relevant separate agreement and applicable law.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Nothing affects rights you have under applicable consumer law.
9. Governing law
These website-use terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory rights you may have as a consumer to rely on other applicable laws or bring proceedings elsewhere.
10. Updates and contact
We may update these terms as the website changes. The version available when you use the website applies to that use. For questions about these terms, contact info@harryshaw.net or telephone 024 7645 5444.
